Families Forward Program
The Families Forward Program consists of twelve transitional housing units. Four are two-bedroom and eight are three-bedroom apartments.
These units are filled by a referral process, and they are not open to the public. They are utilized by referrals from area domestic violence shelters, and for families from our own programs that have been identified as having significant challenges to finding safe, affordable housing.
The Participation Agreement is initially a fifty-two week agreement. In order to remain in this program, families must follow all rules, maintain full-time employment, pay their program fees in a timely manner, and meet consistently with the case manager (at least monthly) to update and goal plan. They are also required to save money.
All families’ ultimate goal is to identify sustainable permanent housing, and be working diligently toward that goal.
